NYG vs DAL Recap

Oh Thank Heaven

Hurricane Sandy was ridiculous. Doing this from work cause I don't have power.

Yeah the big story is Dez Bryant somehow getting behind the coverage and catching what would have been a go ahead touchdown only to have his fingers land out of bounds. Another big story is the fact that Jason Witten had a record setting 18 receptions for a tight end. The biggest story to me however is the play of Stevie Brown.

In the preview, I mentioned how he has been an absolute godsend for this team. Remember when Kenny Philips went down in 09? Defense took a huge hit. C.C. Brown and Aaron Rouse were trying to pick up the slack. A terrible situation. But with Stevie Brown in the picture, Kenny can take his time. Stevie had 2 huge picks and a fumble recovery against the Boys, helping him receive the NFC defensive player of the week award. Brown leads the NFL with seven takeaways (five interceptions and two fumble recoveries.) The 5 interceptions puts him second in the NFL.

I just do not like Bradshaw not practicing but starting. Timing is thrown off when you do not practice. He was not being patient enough and hitting the holes, not to mention the fumble. We have running backs. Keep him out, and get him healthy.

Antrel Rolle may have a concussion, and if he is out, Kenny may be healthy enough to come back, Steve would still be out there.

Herzlich will get the start vs PIT in place of Chase, who has a hurt hamstring

4 sacks was great. Holding the Boys to 19 yards rushing was another impressive feat. But the fact Jason Witten was unstoppable is a little worrisome. Got Heath Miller on Sunday and he plays a lot like Witten.

Not scoring touchdowns in the "green zone" is scaring me. I understand you need to take what you can get, but field goals are just not going to cut it. We scored 5 times (once on defense) but only had 23 points early in the game, that's pathetic. Thanks to JPP for the pick 6.

Resiliency is a good thing. We are top dog in the East. Number 2 in the power rankings. 6-2 feels good, but the Giants are known for their 2nd half collapses. Gotta stay focused.
